Want to Know about  the Origin of Emojis?

Yeah! Here We Go !

Lets Explore the ‘History of Emojis’

EMOTICONS – The Emotion Icon were the predecessors of Emojis.

The Japanese use various combinational characters to formulate many creative smiley faces.

In 1981 Scott Fahlman proposed some ‘’Joke Makers” in online but it doesn’t effectively convey the context you get from other forms of communication.

After Several attempts he created the first ever Emoticons in 1982.

THE KAOMOJI - The next level of emoticons were also made by Japanese. Kaomoji focuses on conveying one’s expression through eyes and mouth.

After striving many years of Experiments and Searches in 1999 Japanese artist Shigetaka Kurita and he worked in “i-mode”, I – mode was an early mobile internet platform from Japan's main mobile carrier, DOCOMO.

Have you ever noticed the different set of emojis in your iphone, android or in windows?

And this is due to license problem many companies have created their own emojis.

In 2007, a team at Google requested the Unicode Consortium to create universal standards around emojis.

The text you’re reading on your screen right now is comprised of Unicode characters — and it appears the same regardless of whether you’re reading on a Mac, PC, iPhone, or Android.

New emojis are still being added to the Unicode Standard.

Now anyone can submit a proposal to add an Emoji.

As of July 2017, there were 2,666 emojis on the official Unicode Standard list.

And this is the complete history of the EVER  EVOLVING  EMOJIS. 😎
