UNI COLOURED CITIES IN THE WORLD

We all have seen many colorful cities with busy roads and fun-filled faces. But some cities remain single-colored. Yeah, they are fully painted in the same color. Each one is a better tourist spot. We will have a look at some of them.

The purple island, South Korea

On the southwestern coast of South Korea, there present an island - Banwol Island. This island is a literally all-purple makeover. It is nicknamed South Korea's purple Island. Banwol island has about 150 residents belonging to the fishing community. About all the house roofs, telephone booths, bridges, shops, hotels, etc. are painted with a unique shade of lilac. Not only the exterior even the interior of the buildings is painted in purple shade. And in some hotels, they serve purple rice. Some serve in purple plates and dishes in purple color. Flowers linked lavenders and asters are planted through the island. The Shinan government chooses this island as a tourist spot and turned about 28000 sq meter residents to purple spending $ 4.25 million funds. 

"Every morning I dress up in purple from head to toe, even including my underwear and shoes, and that makes me happy," said 88-year-old resident Jung Soon-shim, sitting in a purple gazebo. People wearing purple dresses are allowed free entry. They're part of Shinan County, which is composed of 1,000 islands in the southwestern part of the country. In 2018, more than 4,90,000 people had come to the islands. Between June and August 2020 alone, more than 1,00,000 people visited the islands. Visitors can walk through purple footbridges connecting the two islands with benches decorated with the "I purple you" The color of these islands was inspired by a native balloon flower.


JUzcar, Spain

Juzcar was Blue by Sony to celebrate the release of a movie in 2011 named “Smurf”. The 200 residents in the village loud being occupied by Smurfs. So they decided to paint the village all blue, but originally it was made all white. Small village is now receiving around 8,000 80,000 visitors a year. Juzcar one of the blue villages of Spain is in an Andalusian village. Juzcar has become a hotspot for worldwide travelers. Juzcar is located, has always been famous for its whitewashed villages all around. It which is also known as ” the Smurf village”


 Yellow City - Mexico

Izamal is a small town in the state of Yucatan. No one knows the reason why shiny color is painted. Here most of the buildings, not all are painted with the egg yolk yellow. In the center of town is the eye-catching, Convento de San Antonio de Padua. Built-in 1561 on the site of a destroyed Maya temple, it's one of the oldest Catholic monasteries in the Americas. Pope John Paul made a visit to the city in 1993. 


 Ubrique, Spain

Ubrique is known worldwide for its artisan leather industry. White Almost 18000 people live in those beautiful white houses in which most of them are dedicated to working with leather. Most of the houses in the villages are white-washed with brown tiled roofs. The area has been since prehistoric times and has rock paintings. The reasons for the white color have been postulated to be a chemical result of the limestone used. The sun is hot in Andalusia, and white paint reflects the heat, keeping interiors cool.


 Jodhpur, India


Jodhpur is also known as Blue City or Sun City, which is a major city of Rajasthan. Most of the houses are colored in blue. As the color is associated with brahmins. Blue color helps the houses to keep them cool. Not all but the cities near the Mehrangarh Fort are colored blue. It is also called Sun City as sunny weather is around the city all over the year. It is a tourist attraction destination with several temples Palace Force. False Fort. By the orders of the city’s founder, Rao Jodha, most houses are painted blue.


 Jaipur, Rajasthan

Jaipur is popularly known as the Pink City of Rajasthan. Jaipur is all about forts, museums, food, monuments, shopping, and many more things. The King of Amer, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh wanted to impress. The Prince and hence he planned an extreme strategy to repair the entire city with pink color. When you arrive Jay put you will witness the walls of most of the buildings in Jaipur is in pink color. Since the color represents hospitality and welcoming.
