The Festival of democracy is called the Elections each citizen of the country is given a choice to elect their leaders who are the representative of the world?

 

According to the Indian constitution elections for the State Legislative Assembly and Parliament occur every five years in Tamil Nadu. General elections are the election in which representatives are elected from different constituencies of the country to represent people in Parliament which is held at regular intervals.  So far 17 general elections have been held, first general elections were held in 1952 and the sixteenth in 2014. The upcoming general elections are to be held in 2019. This is the first legislation without J. Jayalalithaa and K. Karunanidhi.

National Party

A party that satisfies at least one of the following qualifications to be recognized as a national party:

• It has to win 2 % (minimum) of the seats in the Lok Sabha from three different states.

• In General Elections, the party should win 6 % of the votes and win at least four Lok Sabha seats as well.

• The party is recognized as a 'state-level party' in four or more states.

State Party

A party has to live up to at least one of the following qualifications to be acknowledged as a state party.

• The party has to win 3 % of the seats in the state legislative Assembly.

• It has to win a minimum of one seat in the Lok Sabha for every 25 seats or any fraction allotted to  that concerned state.

• In a particular election, the party has to maintain at least 6 % of the total votes, and also win one Lok Sabha and two Assembly seats.

• The status of a state party can still be bestowed upon an entity even if it fails to win any seats in      the Lok Sabha or the Assembly if it manages to win at least eight percent of the total votes cast in the entire state.

In Tamil Nadu, the total number of legislative assembly members is 234 and this election will be held in a single face. 

The election commission of India had announced the schedule for the five upcoming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Puducherry, and Assam. 

The election commissioner Sunil Arora stated that 18.68 crore electors are casting their votes in 2.7 last polling stations.

AIADMK+: 134 Seats (41.8% Vote Share)

DMK+: 98 Seats (39.3% Share)

That TV Poll Results: Thanti TV recently conducted a survey in the state of Tamil Nadu and found that AIADMK is closing in. Not only this the popularity of CM E. Paliniswamy has increased drastically. As per the survey, 47 percent of the respondent said that the opposition, DMK would form the government while 41% said that ruling AIADMK would return to power.

Tamil Nadu Assembly Election Opinion Poll 2021: Analysis.

1. AIADMK is performing better than Lok Sabha election 2019.

2. AIADMK Performance has improved over the last 2 months.

AIADMK was in pits during the Lok Sabha election in 2019 and after facing a further setback after the COVID crisis, they are gradually fashioning a recovery.

 The second phase of West Bengal and Assam witnessed 80.43% and 77.93% voters on April 1, 2001.
